The Santa Cruz County Democratic Party will host a luncheon for the 89 Democrats older than 75 years that voted in every election since 2000. Some of you will be invited as the honored guests. All are welcome though if you are younger than 75 or missed one of the elections there will be a $15 fee. Americana Hotel, Nogales, 11:30 to 2 p.m.
Sunday, May 18, Cady Hall, Patagonia from 3 to 5 p.m.
The regular Arizona Borderlands Democrats meeting will be devoted to a "listening session." You will be asked to name the 5 most critical issues that in your opinion our new President must address.
We will aim for a consensus. A summary of your thoughts will be transmitted to Rep. Giffords; you will inform her campaign.
Please save the date and plan to attend. The more opinions the better the consensus. There also will be a presentation to past Chairs and amusing prizes for participants.
Saturday, May 24
ABD will sponsor a Fiesta Democrata in Nogales. Live music, food vendors and other attractions seek to attract and mobilize Democrats in the entire County. There is no charge.
Saturday, July 12
ABD's annual Democratic Monsoon fund raiser will be held at the Fair Grounds. Live music, good food, good wine and a live auction for some fantastic items.
This is our major fund raiser so please plan to attend.
In general, our meetings are on the third Sunday of each month, 3 pm at Cady Hall, in Patagonia.
